It also seeks to recognize those veterans in southern Deuel County affiliated with the Deubrook Area School District.

Veterans' bricks are placed throughout the memorial, regardless of branch of service. A majority of area veterans served with the Army and Navy, with fewer serving in the Air Force, Marines and National Guard. Two veterans served with the Coast Guard and one with the Merchant Marines.
